This morning at 10:30am the sprinkler system in one of our neighborhoods (we have six buildings) burst and flooded the common areas and eight resident rooms completely. We had to evacuate 24 residents to another building (fortunately we have the space). No one was hurt, just temporarily displaced.
This is one of those things that I have heard about before but never actually witnessed. It is certainly the biggest physical plant emergency that I have witnessed. Thank God for our amazing family of staff and residents. I have never met such a resilient bunch.
