Today I gave a really good employee a five thousand dollar raise. Much deserved and probably overdue. She wasn't expecting it. As a matter of fact, when I called her to meet with me I think she may have been expecting something bad.
I continually reflect on the opportunities that I am given every day to serve not just our residents but also our employees.
Even on the most stressful of days, I still feel pretty lucky.
