Never Underestimate the Value of the Little Things

Last week we started up our monthly Human Resources meetings. During these meetings we announce birthdays, anniversaries, give away prizes, etc. No inservicing, just recognition and good spirit. Nobody in the organization had been keeping up with the Anniversary certificates, so I redesigned them and we handed out certificates for the past eight months. Someone had decided that most of our employees didn't find significant value in these.

Do you know how many people I have had knocking on my door asking when they would receive theirs?

Never underestimate the little things. "Someone had decided that most of our employees didn't find significant value in these" could be translated as "Someone in charge of the certificates did not find value in these."
